Don't you think this blog is a little condescending? Disney fans don't need to know everything about everything. If Walt wanted that he would have made everyone fill out a written exam before entering Disneyland or seeing a new Disney movie.

I am publishing this question and answer publicly for two reasons. Reason one is because I think that mastergracey makes an excellent point, and reason two is by way of explanation.
In direct answer to your question, yes, I admit the blog is a bit condescending, but you have to understand that most of these image macros are rather tongue in cheek. I’ll willingly admit that I, at one point, had no clue who Hayao Miyazaki was or what his connection was with Disney. The first time I saw a picture of Deadmau5 I thought it was a guy in a stylized Mickey mask. And I actually thought (albeit for a very brief moment) that the Cathedral of Notre Dame had hidden Mickeys in the architecture.
I poke fun in much the same way an insult comedian pokes fun; providing a catharsis for the audience’s own pet peeves while bringing to light the fact that each of us are hopelessly flawed. It’s an opportunity to laugh at what we usually hide our disdain for, and often to laugh at ourselves. In real life, I would never belittle people for their mistakes, goodness knows I make enough of them myself, and no matter how many times I hear Shrek, How to Train Your Dragon, and Polar Express called “Pixars,” I will continue to resist the urge to correct.
Yes, this blog is condescending. But I like to think it’s not who I am. All who wish to partake in the wondrous joy that is Disney films and parks are welcome and encouraged as far as I’m concerned. So you have my heartfelt apology if I have deeply offended you, or you, or you. Keep on smiling, I didn’t mean it personally; and keep on riding, watching, and tumblring!
I understand you don’t have to be a noob to not know who Fred MacMurray is.
(But for goodness sake, EDUCATE YOURSELF. And while you’re at it… )
